I’m an amateur using a canon power shot. I got the slave so that I could have light from another source than near the lens. The trouble is that it is not very sensitive. The sensor is on the front so this may be part of the problem. Also, the on-off switch isn’t labeled as to which position is on. The unit did work, but because of the sensitivity issue, I returned it.

Triggered by the flash on your camera, this little wonder can really help when shooting indoors. Hang it inside a lamp so that the light will appear to be ON when you take your shot. Or put it off to the side to add a little side light to your portraits. (You can bounce it off a wall too. )
